ALS reaches a new milestone in Cyberjaya as Malaysia prepares for Level 4 autonomous logistics trials.

ALS has reached an important milestone with the launch of Malaysia’s first Remote Operations Centre (ROC) for autonomous logistics vehicles in Cyberjaya.

Developed in collaboration with Sidec and Cyberview, the ROC provides the operational oversight needed to support ALS’s Level 4 RoboVan as it prepares for public-road trials along the 22km Cyberjaya Malaysia Autonomous Vehicle (MyAV) Route.

The Remote Operations Centre allows ALS operators to monitor autonomous vehicle operations through live video feeds, vehicle telemetry, route information and system diagnostics.

This human-in-the-loop approach is an important part of deploying autonomous logistics safely and reliably in real-world environments. The upcoming trials will expose the RoboVan to a variety of urban conditions, including commercial areas, intersections, pedestrian crossings and public transport surroundings.

For ALS, the initiative is about more than testing a driverless vehicle. The Cyberjaya trials provide an opportunity to learn how autonomous logistics can operate responsibly alongside existing road users, infrastructure and regulatory requirements.

Working with ecosystem partners, ALS and Sidec will evaluate the RoboVan's performance across real-world scenarios, with findings expected to support the development of future standards and regulatory frameworks for autonomous logistics in Malaysia.
